Meal plans make it easy to dine at all the various locations on campus, so they are a great option for students living on on-campus apartments, off-campus apartments, or students commuting from home. How to Purchase Commuter Meal Plans

Commuter meal plans may be purchased on your MyJaxState account or on our JSU Dining Shop.

If you would like to use financial aid to pay for your meal plan, fill out the Financial Aid Meal Voucher.

What is JaxCash?

JaxCash is a required university fee that can be used at Sodexo Dining locations. This fee is automatically charged to the MyJaxState accounts of students that classify as freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior taking 6 or more in person or hybrid hours and who do not have a meal plan regardless of on-campus or commuter status. For Fall 2025 and Spring 2026, the fee is $330 per semester, with $300 available to spend. Funds roll over within the academic year (fall to spring to summer), but they will not carry over to the following academic year. JaxCash is not reloadable because it is a fee. Students who run out of JaxCash may purchase additional Flex Dollars if needed.
